To do better is to know better. We can only do what we know. In order to do better we must learn better so that we know better. By knowing better we present better choices and thus land better decisions resulting in rewards and less consequences. To learn you must find teachers that can relate to you. By sharing my blunt honesty as to the road i have traveled i have the ability to save lives. My story is no different than yours. If you want what i got then do what i did. I listened to those who had traveled the same road i found myself on and learned from them as to what to do and what not to do. Sustained recovery is possible infact it is expected. When you are treated in the hospital they treat you because they expect you to recover to heal and leave the hospital and go back to your life as a productive member of society. The same is true for those that suffer from addiction. Recovery is infact possible. Each one teach one is a long standing proverb that finds itself applicable to recovery and it’s dimensions. To sustain recovery one must be willing to help those that our still sick and suffering by sharing there honest truths as to the road they traveled. The good,bad and otherwise.
